ORIGINAL STORY:

Some alleged antisemitic graffiti was spotted on Wednesday morning in Salem.

According to The Crittenden Press, the message was spray-painted on the garage bay door at the Salem Fire Department. Their report also indicated that other buildings in the city and four personal vehicles had also been targeted. Mayor Gary Damron told the paper that, in addition to the fire department, a healthcare clinic, a pharmacy, and a church were also damaged.

Witnesses told The Press that an adult male was detained after the vandalism had been discovered.

A source indicated to West Kentucky Star that this was not the first incident.

A call to the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office suggested more information was forthcoming and that the investigation is continuing.
