The Paducah Area Chamber of Commerce will give residents and the business community several opportunities to hear from candidates for some of the area’s biggest races.
Forums hosted by the group will feature candidates for the Democratic and Republican nominations to replace retiring Senator Mitch McConnell, as well as those seeking the Republican nomination to be McCracken County Judge-Executive. The forums will focus on business-related topics, with each being moderated and timed.
The first in the series will take place on Monday, April 27th, when the Democratic hopefuls will take the stage. Charles Booker, Amy McGrath, and Kentucky House Minority Floor Leader Pam Stevenson will be in Paducah for the event.
Then on Friday, May 8th, the top Republican candidates will face the questions. Former Attorney General Daniel Cameron, Sixth District Congressman Andy Barr, and Nate Morris will share their views just 10 days before Primary Day.
One week before the Primary, on May 12th, the three Republicans vying for the nomination for McCracken County Judge-Executive will get their turn. That event will feature the incumbent, Judge-Executive Craig Clymer, as well as McCracken County Commissioner Richard Abraham and Matt Moore.
All three forums will take place between 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. at the Paducah-McCracken County Convention Center. Individual tickets are $60 each and must be purchased in advance. Non-Chamber members can also attend. All attendees must pre-register at http://paducahchamber.org.
