PADUCAH, KY - Police are still searching for a man after a pursuit earlier Thursday on Interstate 24 in Paducah.
McCracken Co. Sheriff Jon Hayden says Kentucky State Police tried to pull over a westbound vehicle near the 16 mile marker, but the driver would not stop. A pursuit began, and McCracken Co. Deputies used spike strips to disable the vehicle near the 9-mile marker. Four people then abandoned the vehicle near Hick's Truck Parts on Old Mayfield Road. Crum's wife, Rebecca Rupe, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was arrested for outstanding warrants from three Kentucky counties. Kentucky State Police have obtained warrants on Crum.
Police are still searching for 27-year-old Jonathan Crum, he is 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighs 140 pounds. Canine officers and multiple agencies are canvassing the area near Lane Rd. West, Poole Rd. and the Paducah Power Peaking Plant on Schneidman Rd. This area is north of I-24 and east of Old Mayfield Road.
Traffic has slowed on I-24, and vehicles on Old Mayfield Road are being allowed to pass through the area.
Crum is apparently in violation of parole, his previous offense is not known.
