A 16-year-old at the Calloway County juvenile group home was arrested Wednesday after attempting to stab a worker at the home with a knife.
As Calloway County Sheriff's deputies arrived, the male assaulted one of them and fled into a corn field.
The juvenile spent several hours in the field before he was flushed out by two police K-9's.
The suspect was detained after a brief struggle where he assaulted another deputy. He was taken to the McCracken Juvenile Detention Center and charged with two counts of assault, fleeing police, criminal mischief and resisting arrest.
Neither of the deputies required medical treatment.
