A Marion man has been indicted on drug and other charges stemming from an April traffic stop in Lyon County.

The Lyon County Grand Jury handed down the indictments against 33-year-old Jacob R. Walker of Marion, after he and his passenger, 35-year-old Mika R. Kitrel of Metropolis, were stopped driving an allegedly stolen truck.

Walker and Kitrel were pulled over by Lyon County Sheriff’s deputies who determined the pickup they were driving had been stolen from the Marion-Crittenden County Airport in what they later learned involved burglaries of several buildings in Crittenden County. Deputies said more than $50,000 in property was reported stolen.

Walker was indicted on charges of complicity to receiving stolen property $10,000 or more, complicity to criminal trespassing with burglary, possession of fentanyl, and being a persistent felony offender.

Walker remains in the Crittenden County Detention Center.
