Hickory woman injured in crash

A driver was injured in a single-vehicle crash in Graves County on Friday.

Deputies responded to the crash near the intersection of State Route 1241 and Old Plant Road to find a vehicle in a deep ditch.

They said the driver, 30-year-old Carly Matheny of Hickory told them she was driving on 1241 when she hit the concrete curb on the bridge, just north of Old Plant Road.

Her vehicle slid across the southbound lane and into the ditch.

Matheny was taken to an area hospital and later transferred to an out-of-state hospital.
