UPDATE:

A second person from Paducah has been arrested in connection with an ongoing assault investigation.

McCracken County Sheriff's detectives have continued their investigation, and new information has identified 18-year-old Owen Wright as an individual involved in the reported assault. Investigators believe Wright helped set up the meeting between 18-year-old Corban Koster and the victim. Wright is also accused of assisting in the destruction of evidence related to the assault.

Back on Saturday, deputies were called to Noble Road for a welfare check. During that check, they located a man walking on the road covered with blood, appearing to have been assaulted. The man was taken to a local hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

Detectives learned that the victim had met with a man, later identified as Koster. Koster allegedly began to beat the victim with a ratchet, took his belongings, and forced him into the trunk of Koster's vehicle against his will before driving to the Noble Road area and leaving him.

Koster was located on Tuesday at a home on Greenfield Drive, where he was taken into custody without incident.

Koster is charged with assault, robbery, and adult kidnapping.

Wright was arrested on Thursday and charged with complicity to commit assault and tampering with physical evidence.
