2 cups all-purpose flour
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Gently dump the flour on a jelly roll pan (9" X 13" or larger). Spread the flour evenly on pan. Bake and carefully stir every 10-15 minutes for about 45 minutes. It will steam a bit and appear that it's lightly "smoking" but that's just part of the process. Take out and cool. Store in a zip-lock bag, forcing extra air out when zipping. When ready to use, add just like you would unbaked flour. It will brown instantly and save you lots of time stirring the mixture to get that dark rich color that is extra flavorful.
This truly is "magic". Try it. You'll be just as surprised and pleased as I was first time I tried it.
