Yeiser Plans One-time Original Summer Y'ART Sale
By WestKyStar & Yeiser Staff
PADUCAH - Yeiser Art Center is organizing a one-time Original Summer Y’ART Sale for Friday and Saturday, August 3 and 4 inside the center at 200 Broadway, in the Market House, right in the center of  downtown Paducah's historic district.

The Y’ART Sale is a one-time event to help raise funds for the YAC’s operating expenses and educational programming. The art will be priced to sell. It won’t cost you an arm and a leg. Organizers are doing some summer cleaning of the YAC’s Permanent Collection and a few of its pieces need a good home. Additionally, they are closing out items from their gift shop. Get some great art at bargain prices during this two-day sale.

The Y’ART Sale will be held on Friday from 10 am – 5 pm and on Saturday from 7 am – 2 pm. After noon on Saturday, Yeiser will drastically reduce items to “take it home please” pricing on anything that remains.

Join the fun with lemonade, handmade cookies and popcorn for sale. Take your picture with the Yak. There will also be a special guest appearance by Vera Pigsley, the iListwesternkentucky mascot.

Along with the YAC’s Permanent Collection items, you’ll find great art from many local artists. There may be pieces of pottery that have a little flaw in their glaze or are just not quite the shape the potter intended. There may be a painting that the artist didn’t feel was “finished” or that never made it to a gallery show. There may be a preliminary sketch for a later work or art that was never framed or a piece of jewelry that’s been on sale for a while.

For more information, and to donate your original artwork to the sale, contact the Yeiser Art center by calling 270-442-2453 or email .
