It was one of twelve organizations in the Commonwealth to get a $50,000 grant, and the only one in the Jackson Purchase area.
The money can be used to support personnel and facilities costs in response to the novel coronavirus pandemic.
The NEA awarded over $44 million in grants to 855 organizations. Applications for federal help were submitted in the spring.
The Yeiser Art Center is at 200 Broadway in the historic Market House Building. They are open 10 am to 5 pm Tuesday through Saturday.
The latest exhibit at the YAC is entitled, "Visible," and features artwork from artists who are black, indigenous, and people of color who have been historically under represented in the community. Creations by 20 artists are on display through September 19.
