The Market House Theatre box office will be closed to walk-in traffic, but will remain open via phone at 270-444-6828 and online at www.MarketHouseTheatre.org. Updates will be distributed via Facebook and Instagram as well.

Market House Theatre is pausing all programming until further notice. This includes productions, classes, and events.

Market House Theatre takes the health and safety of community members, patrons, actors, children, volunteers, and employees very seriously. At the recommendation of the governor, Market House Theatre has paused all programming until further notice. Options and future plans for shows and performances are being reviewed and patrons will be updated as information becomes available. MHT thanks the community for continued understanding and support during this time.

This pause will impact several of MHT’s upcoming offerings. Including:

Native Gardens Performances Scheduled for This Weekend
MHT will not be having performances of Native Gardens this weekend. Options for future shows and performances are being discussed. Any patrons with tickets to the performances scheduled for this weekend of Native Gardens, please allow MHT to contact you within the coming weeks with more information.

At this time, all MHT programming has been paused. This extends to DanceMHT classes and Footlights classes as well. Discussions of how to handle the rest of the semesters are on-going and the Education Department will update parents as more information becomes available. Registration for summer camps are still open and available by calling the MHT Box Office at 270.444.6828 or online at MarketHouseTheatre.org.

Market House Theatre will be announcing its 57th Season on Monday, March 23rd. However, the theatre will not be hosting a party. How we decide to unveil the new season will be announced soon. Patrons are encouraged to check MHT’s social channels and website for more information.

The theatre appreciates any financial support during this difficult time period. Donations can still be made online or mailed to MHT: 132 Market House Square, Paducah, KY 42001.

“Since I’ve been here, the Market House Theatre has experienced: the 9/11 attack the week we opened a show, the great recession right after we did an expansion project, the ice storm happening the week we opened a show, and now the COVID-19 crisis the week we opened a show. Each of those times has been filled with uncertainty about what the future would be. Each time we’ve managed to find creative ways to find a way through adversity. The Market House Theatre, along with many other businesses, is undergoing an immense financial strain with all programming paused indefinitely. We appreciate all of the community support we can get as we face these challenging times and as we work to find creative solutions so that actors can perform the shows they have rehearsed, audiences can view those performances, and we can continue to showcase the talent that is present in our community.” – Michael Cochran, Executive Director

The theatre encourages the community to continue to check social media and the MHT website for future updates. Emails and phone calls will be made in order to reach and inform patrons on upcoming decisions and plans. We ask for patience, understanding, and community support as we all work through this time together.
