Laczko announced his retirement in March to the Board of Directors. According to a Thursday press release, the Carson Center Board of Directors discussed the situation at that time, and chose to promote Mary Katz to Associate Executive Director. Since then, Katz has been working with Laczko and the staff for a smooth transition when she assumes the role of Executive Director effective October 1.
“Mary brings a wealth of experience and passion to this critical position and we are excited to see where her leadership takes us as an organization. Her past experience as a board member, staff member and Director of Education give her a unique understanding of the Carson Center, its stakeholders and mission,” states Board Chairman, Barry Smith.
The Board of Directors acknowledges the great work of Brian Laczko as Executive Director.
“Brian came during a very challenging time in the life of the Carson Center. He has guided us to remarkable growth, success and stability. We will always be indebted to Brian for his leadership and friendship and wish him the very best in his retirement,” adds Barry Smith.
