The 56th Annual Dogwood Trail officially opens today through next Wednesday, April 15.

Homeowners are asked to light up their flowers, shrubs, and dogwoods anywhere in Paducah, but especially along the traditional 12-mile drive along streets including Jefferson, Buckner Lane, Alben Barkley Drive and Friedman Lane. Signs will be located at turns in the trail.

This year, some homeowners are using green lights  to show solidarity and compassion for the victims of the coronavirus, as requested by Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear.

Paducah Civic Beautification Board, City of Paducah and Paducah Power System are sponsoring this year's trail. Award money provided by Paducah Power Systems will be donated to the Community Kitchen.
