History was made Saturday afternoon when a west Tennessee basketball team won their third consecutive state championship, and capped off a third perfect season.

Elmore Park Middle School from Bartlett defeated Clarksville Richview, 53-32, finishing a perfect 31-0 season.

Their three-year record is now 96-0, and going back four years, the record for the Eagles is 118-3.

Elmore Park used the strength of a 6'5", 6'4", and 6'0" frontcourt, along with eight three-point goals in the first half to build a 32-10 halftime lead, and never looked back.

The three consecutive titles with perfect seasons in each is a first at any level in basketball in the state of Tennessee.
