Two championship-winning high schools lost to consolidation will face off on the court once more through a Heritage Game from the Kentucky High School Basketball Hall of Fame.

On December 8th at Marshall County High School, the Marshals will host the Graves County Eagles in a game with extra significance. Marshall County will take the court representing the Brewers High School Redmen who went 36-0 to win the 1948 state championship. The Eagles will wear the colors of the Cuba Cubs who made the state finals in 1951 and 1952, winning it all in '52 by defeating Louisville DuPont Manual.

Graves County Coach Jason Holland said it is a chance to pay respect to those who built the reputation that is now Graves County basketball. Holland said, "We are excited to partner with (Marshall County) to honor our past with our present talent."

In addition to the game, the Region 1 representative for the KY High School Basketball Hall of Fame and Marshals announcer Jeff Waters said that Reed Condor Gymnasium at Marshall County and the Eagle's Nest at Graves County will be designated as "Glory Road" sites by the Kentucky High School Basketball Hall of Fame.

The Eagles tip off the season on November 28th against Hickman County. The games can be heard on WiLLiE 102.1 and WiLLiEradio.com.
