After a spirited 91-83 road victory over Missouri on Saturday, Kentucky began preparations for next week’s SEC Tournament in Nashville.
The Wildcats earned the No. 6 seed in the league tournament which comes with a bye into the second round, which starts Thursday. The tournament begins with four games on Wednesday.
Kentucky will play the winner of Oklahoma-Georgia in the last game Thursday at approximately 9:30 p.m. The Cats are in the same half of the bracket with Alabama and Florida, each who earned the double bye. Kentucky would face Alabama for a third time on Friday, also at 9:30 p.m., if it gets past the Oklahoma-Georgia winner.
Wednesday and Thursday games will be on the SEC Network along with the last two quarterfinal games on Friday. The afternoon quarterfinal games are on ESPN as will be the semifinals Saturday and championship on Sunday.
With the win over Missouri on Saturday, Kentucky finished 10-8 in the SEC in coach Mark Pope’s first season.
