The Murray State Racers will host Butler on Saturday night for their first home game of the 100th football season, and the 52nd home opener at Roy Stewart Stadium.

It'll be their first ever meeting with the Bulldogs, and the first in front of the Racer faithful for new head coach Jody Wright.

Fans will also get a first look at a rebuilt Racer roster, with 65 players who were playing at another school last season, including 46 transfers.

The Racers are 0-1 after going on the road for a 51-0 loss at the University of Missouri.

They'll also seek to stop a three-game home skid from last season at the hands of Southern Illinois, North Dakota and Youngstown State.

The Racers will continue their home stand on Sept. 14 when they entertain Mississippi Valley State, before kicking off Missouri Valley conference action at North Dakota on Sept. 28.
