Paducah Tilghman claims state title berth with 31-14 win over Corbin

Paducah Tilghman claimed a berth in the Kentucky 4A state championship football game with a 31-14 win over the Corbin Redhounds on Friday night.

In their first state semifinal game at McWright Field in 11 years, the Blue Tornado continued their undefeated run.

Although Corbin had a 14-10 lead at halftime, Tilghman responded with 21 unanswered points to seal the victory.

The Blue Tornado (14-0) will head to UK's Kroger Field in Lexington next Friday at 7 pm to face another undefeated squad, Franklin County (13-0). The Flyers edged Covington Catholic 14-10 in their semifinal game.
