Murray State tight end Cole Rusk was named to the Associated Press FCS All-America Team as the third team tight end.

The sophomore from Rock Island, IL was also named to the Missouri Valley Football Conference Honorable Mention list and All Newcomer team.

Rusk transferred to the Racers from Eastern Michigan and was quickly a go-to target in the Murray State passing game. He led MSU with 39 catches for 507 yards and six touchdowns, 7th in the conference.

Rusk caught a Racer season-high 94 yards on four receptions vs Youngstown State, and tied for team season-high seven catches at Missouri State. His season-long reception went for 47 yards vs Youngstown State.

Rusk was third in voting for MVFC Newcomer of the Year.

Rusk is the 56th All-America selection for Murray State football and the first since Marcis Floyd was named to the honor in 2020 as a defensive back. He's the first Racer offensive player to earn the honor since wide receiver Walter Powell in 2013.
