Mayfield High School football coach Joe Morris will soon be inducted into the National High School Athletic Coaches Association Hall of Fame.
The association's executive director Dave Dougherty said Morris was nominated by the Kentucky High School Coaches Association.
The induction ceremony at the national awards banquet will be in Des Moines, IA on June 21.
Morris has been the head coach at Mayfield since 1999, and has compiled 271 wins to just 54 losses. He has had two teams finish undefeated (2002, 2010) and has never had a team finish with a losing record in his 23 seasons at the helm.
He is also a six-time state champion coach winning five Class 1A state titles (2002, 2010, 2012, 2013, 2014) and one Class 2A state title (2015).
