Marshall County basketball coach Birdsong retires

Marshall County head boys basketball coach Terry Birdsong has announced his retirement.

Birdsong played at Marshall County, graduating in 1987. He's had head coaching stops in Webster, Caldwell, Calloway, Graves, and Marshall counties.

Marshall County Athletic Director Mike Johnson said, "Terry has given so much to MCHS as a player and a coach. We appreciate his love for the school and wish him the best in the future. He will go down as true "Marshals Legend" on the basketball court."

Birdsong finishes with a 514-277 record and has won 11 district championships, 4 regional championships, and a pair of Elite Eight appearances in the KHSAA Sweet 16.
