On Monday, Jason Holland was introduced as the next boys basketball head coach for Graves County High School .
Holland has over 20 years of experience in education, with 17 as a head coach. He comes from Warren County, where he was head coach of the South Warren boy's basketball team.
Holland has also led boys and girls teams in Henry, Oldham, Montgomery, and Shelby counties. He has over 300 wins, several regional titles, and appearances in the Sweet Sixteen and Final Four. He is a three-time recipient of Coach of the Year.
Holland spoke to the crowd and gave a nod to the program's rich history, and Coach Allan Hatcher's influence on his coaching. He said he already has a relationship with Lady Eagle coach Lyndon Dunning, and he looks forward to working with other coaches, administrators, parents, and student-athletes.
Holland gave his future players a one-hour preview into the dynamics and expectations of the next era of Graves County basketball. Holland ended by asking them what their goals were. All agreed it was to win regional championships.
