The Paducah Chiefs split a twin bill with the Full Count Rhythm Sunday night at Brooks Stadium.

The opening game loss ended the Chiefs' 10-game winning streak that vaulted them from 5th place to 2nd in the Ohio Valley League. Paducah had not lost a game since June 23, also at the hands of the Rhythm.

Full Count took the opener 3-0, holding the Chiefs to just two hits by Brett Haas and Easton Denning.

Former Marshall County and current Murray State pitcher Reese Oakley kept Paducah close by throwing five shutout innings.  Konnor Myatt took the pitching loss.

Paducah's bats woke up in the nightcap for the 10-4 win, thanks to two RBIs apiece from Kobe Watson and Tyler Humphrey. Humphrey and Paducah native Haas each had a pair of hits.

Full Count was also guilty of four errors in the field for game two.

Cole Pauley got the pitching win for Paducah, now 17-12 on the season.   Full Count still leads by three games and are 21-9 on the season.

Paducah returns to action Monday night at Madisonville.  Game time is at 6:30 and can be heard on 995 The Fan.
