Mrs. Mary Jane (Puckett) Sanderson, age 87 of Calvert City, KY passed away Friday, July 17, 2015, at Baptist Health in Paducah, KY. She was a homemaker, Duchess of Paducah, an avid UK Wildcat fan and was member of the Calvert City Church of Christ.
Born Saturday, November 26, 1927 in Paducah, KY, she was the daughter of the late Laymon Puckett and the late Ora Mae (Boren) Puckett.
Surviving are her son, Larry Dwain Sanderson, wife Linda of Paducah, KY, daughters, Lana Susan Sanderson of Paducah, KY and Nancy Jane Pierce, husband Tony of Ledbetter, KY, and sister, Nancy Lou Thomas of Reidland, KY; grandchildren, Rhonda Foster, husband Gary of Ledbetter, KY, Joey Pierce, wife Laurie of Huntsville, AL, Holly Fann, husband Art of Hernando, MS, Jeff Pierce, wife Sharlotte of Ledbetter, KY, and Derek Sanderson, wife Suzanne of Calvert City, KY; step-grandchild, Kyle Henderson, wife Julie of Paducah, KY, 10 great grandchildren; 6 step-great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; and 1 step-great great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 64 years, Louis Eastman "Blow Torch" Sanderson, brothers, Joe Ed Puckett and Jimmy Ray Puckett, and sister, Donna Mae Puckett; and step-grandchild, Ryan Henderson.
Funeral services will be held Monday, July 20, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Collier Funeral Home, Benton, KY. Lance Cordle will officiate.
Interment will follow the service in the Brooks Chapel Cemetery, Dexter, KY.
Visitation will be held between the hours of 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Sunday, July 19, 2015 at the Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th Street, Benton, KY 42025.
