Shirley Doom Carner

Shirley Doom Carner, age 84 of Benton, passed away at 6:48 pm Friday, December 3, 2021 at her home in Marshall County.

Mrs. Carner was a member of Sharpe Baptist Church in Marshall County and a retired employee of University of Kentucky.

Mrs Carner was preceded in death by her husband Cecil Carner, parents Maxie and Anna Lynn Lockhart Doom, five brothers Offit Wayne Doom, Kenneth Doom, Will Joe Doom, Rickey Doom, Paul Doom and one sister Nellie Ruth Thompson. She is survived by one son Tim Carner his wife Linda, two grandchildren Austin Carner and Audree Carner all of Marshall Co., two sisters Linda Murphy of Reidland, Mary K. Owen of Lyon Co., three brothers James P. Doom of Utica, KY, Dwight Doom of Reidland , Price Doom of Lyon Co. and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am Monday, December 6, 2021 at Hebron Cemetery in Lyon County with Rev. Chris Moore officiating and burial immediately follow.
