Ray Donald Romain, age 89 years, a resident of Paducah, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, August 1, 2024, at 1:22 P.M. at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah.
Pastor Romain founded Calvary Apostolic Church in Paducah in 1979 and served as pastor for 32 years, prior to his retirement. He was a member of the U.S. Army National Guard and was a Kentucky Colonel.
Survivors include: his children – David Romain, Deborah Griffiths, Mindy Treat, Elizabeth Romain, and Richard Romain; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by: his wife – Virginia Mae Tharp Romain and a sister. His parents were Samuel Earl Romain and Mary Ann (Boswell) Romain.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, August 5, 2024 at the New Life Apostolic Tabernacle, 1117 Bell Ave. Paducah, Kentucky.
Burial will be in Mt. Kenton Cemetery in Paducah, Kentucky.
Visitation will be held Sunday, August 4, 2024 from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at New Life Apostolic Tabernacle. There will also be visitation Monday, August 5, 2024, from 12:00 P.M. until the funeral hour at the church.
