Elden Timothy Good’s journey on this earth came to a peaceful close on Tuesday, the 12th day of December 2023, at the age of 45.  He was born on the 13th day of June 1978, in McKinney, Texas, to parents Kermit Good and Mary Beth (Liesenfeld) Good.  His life was a testament to the power of love, friendship, and the simple joys from cherished moments with family.

Elden’s early years in Katy, Texas were filled with the laughter and play of a childhood surrounded by a loving family.  As he grew, so did his heart, and his capacity to bring joy to others became a defining trait.

Elden attended Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology and upon graduation he went to work as an Aviation Aeronautics Technician with Midwest Aviation in Paducah, Kentucky. Friday nights were a highlight of the week as he loved spending the evenings with his coworkers and friends around the grill most times. He was a man of simple pleasures, with a passion for sports that knew no bounds.  The Green Bay Packers and the University of Kentucky basketball team could always count on Elden as their unwavering fan, cheering them on through every high and low. Recently, after spending 22 years with Midwest Aviation, he moved back to East Texas to be with family.

Those who knew Elden would describe him as a man who embodied love in every action.  His friendly demeanor and thoughtful ways made him a joy to be around.  Elden’s presence was a comforting reminder that the simplest acts of kindness can have the most profound impact.  Elden’s passing leaves a void that can never be filled, but his light will continue to shine in the memories we hold and the stories we tell.

He joins in Heaven his mother, Mary Beth Good, and his nephew, Taylor Killingsworth.

The holidays were a special time for Elden, as they brought the opportunity to gather with those he held dear.  His father, Kermit Good, his sisters, Christa Killingsworth and her husband David, Rebekah Barnes and her husband Larry, and his brother, Aaron Good with his wife Lizette, will forever cherish these memories.  Elden’s spirit will continue to resonate through the laughter and stories shared by his beloved nieces and nephews, Kristen Clark, Justin Clark, Tiffany Barnes, Makenzie Barnes, Alyssa Barnes, Micah Good, Noah Good, Hunter Lackey, and Nichole Lackey.  The legacy of his loving nature will also live on in the hearts of his numerous other cousins, family members, and friends who had the privilege of experiencing his friendship and thoughtfulness.

A graveside service to honor Elden’s life is to be conducted at eleven o’clock in the morning, on Saturday, the 23rd day of December 2023, at Grapeland City Cemetery.  Brother Don Jackson will be officiating the service. Pallbearers include Larry Barnes, Justin Clark, Derek and Jullian Conway, Aaron Good, David Killingsworth, Tal Martin Jr, and Michael Norton. Honorary Pallbearers Tim Adkison, John and Phillip Liesenfeld.

Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong. Do everything in love.
