Claire Beth Hofer of South Range, Wisconsin passed away on May 10th, 2024, in Rogers, Arkansas.
She was born September 12th, 1933 to the late Clair and Thelma Strow, in Benton, Kentucky, Claire was a beacon of joy and adventure from the start. Growing up with a father who was a traveling sales-man, selling Singer Sewing Machines,
Claire learned early on to embrace new experiences and relish each day. She brought this attitude into every aspect of her life. After high school, her and some friends, moved to Denver, Colorado, with no money or plans, just a dream and determination. Here Claire met Eldon Hofer, and their love story began. In 1956, they we married in Denver, Colorado. This is where they lived for the next forty years, raising a beautiful family together.
Claire approached life with an open heart and a contagious enthusiasm. Her magnetic personality drew people to her, and she effortlessly found herself at the heart of every gathering. Claire seized every opportunity to explore, and experience new horizons. Even in her final moments, Claire embraced life's adventures. She was on vacation, in Gravette Arkansas, to attend the Sheperds Chapel Church, when she passed from this world. Though she may have departed this world, Claire's spirit lives on in the cherished memories she leaves behind. Her family takes solace in the knowledge that they shared countless treasured moments together, a testament to a life rich in love, laughter, and boundless adventure.
Claire Hofer will be dearly missed but fondly remembered as an example of living life to the fullest.
Claire is survived by her son, Eric Hofer, and his wife, Rhonda, of West Paducah, Kentucky; daughter, Karen Olson, and her husband, Forrest, of South Ridge, Wisconsin; grandchildren, Amanda Peterson, and her husband, Andy, of Carver, Minnesota; Chelsey Fischer, and her husband, Zach, of Tennessee; and Cody Hofer, of Paducah, Kentucky; eight great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Merle Hofer, of Denver, Colorado; and many friends, family, and loved ones.
Claire is preceded in death by her husband, Eldon Hofer; parents, Clair and Thelma Strow; and brother, Al Strow.
Claire will be laid to rest in Crown Hills Cemetery, in Denver Colorado, next to her husband, Eldon Garrison Hofer
A memorial service will be held at Crown Hills Cemetery, in Denver Colorado at later date
