Ms. Wanda Lafayee Vaughn

Ms. Wanda Lafayee Vaughn, age 82, of Mayfield, Kentucky, passed away Friday, January 31, 2025, at the Green Acre Nursing and Rehab.

Ms. Vaughn was born on July 6, 1942, in Mayfield, Kentucky, to the late Harrell and Alliene R. (Sullivan) Redden. Wanda was a retired hairdresser. Also having worked at Fisher Price and Fern Terrace. She loved anything outdoors, her family, even more so her grandkids. 

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two sons, Randy Murphy and Ken Murphy; one brother, Jimmy Redden; and one sister, Barbara Courtney. 

Survivors include one son, Jason Vaughn and wife Lindsey of Pryorsburg, Kentucky; one daughter-in-law, Cecilia Murphy of Murray, Kentucky; two sisters, Cathy Redden Dowdy and husband Ronnie of Dublin, Kentucky, Josephine Ducker and husband Jack of Fountain Inn, South Carolina; one sister-in-law, Patricia Redden of Mayfield, Kentucky; one brother, Frankie Redden and wife Diane of Pryorsburg, Kentucky; six grandchildren, Amanda Futrell, Scott Murphy, and Cody Dick all of Murray, Kentucky, Jaxon Vaughn, Ella Sanderson, and Conner Holmes all of Pryorsburg, Kentucky; four great-grandchildren, Joe Futrell (Kamalah Thurby), Ben Futrell (Whitney McGuire), Tyler Futrell (Keatyn Collins), and Madison Futrell all of Murray, Kentucky; and two soon to be great great-grandchildren, Oakley Renee Futrell.
