Ms. Dorothy Mae Norris

          Ms. Dorothy Mae Norris, age 80, of Murray, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, November 27, 2025, at the Murray-Calloway County Hospital.
          Ms. Norris was born in Kimball, Nebraska on November 14, 1945, to the late Herman Buescher and Edna (Frerichs) Buescher. Ms. Norris retired after 30 years from the Murray Calloway County Hospital as a registration clerk. She was also a news director and disc jockey for numerous radio stations in the area. Mrs. Norris was of the Christian faith.
          In addition to her parents, Mrs. Norris was preceded in death by four sisters, Ruth and Alberta Buescher, Delores Fricke, and Darlene Coombs; one granddaughter, Desiree Perkins; and sons-in-law, Skip Hamra and Sam Mathis.
          Ms. Norris is survived by three daughters, Robin Perkins of Murray, Kentucky, Tracy Hamra of Hamlin, Kentucky, and Kristy Goodrum of McKenzie, Tennessee; two sisters, Mary Ann Quador and Maxine White both of Nebraska; two brothers, Ray Buescher of Nebraska and Marvin Buescher and wife Rhonda of Wyoming; five grandchildren, Justin Perkins and wife Kristan of Murray, Kentucky, Michael Perkins and wife Kylie of Murray, Kentucky, Heather Manley of McKenzie, Tennessee, Andrew Goodrum of McKenzie, Tennessee, and Jason Oakhem of Murray, Kentucky; seven great grandchildren, Brannigan McReynolds, Dakota Holz, Khaleesi Perkins, Leighton Perkins, Abby Jordan, and Kayln Capps; as well as one great -great grandson, Colson Jordan.
          A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Bro. Eric Kelleher officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the memorial service on Saturday, 13, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
