Ms. Betty J. Travis, age 91, of Almo, Kentucky, passed away, Monday, March 11, 2024, at the Passion and Purpose HomeCare Assisted Living for our SENIORS in Murray, Kentucky.
 
Ms. Travis was born on October 1, 1932, in Blue Springs, Tennessee to the late Wheeler Love and Lona (Coy) Love. She was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse and graduated nursing school with an associate degree. Ms. Travis was a member of the Glendale Road Church of Christ and Young N Hearts group.
 
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Kayla Higgins; as well as one sister, Agnes Lyons.
 
Survivors include two daughters, Melody Higgins and husband Kerry of Almo, Kentucky and Kathy Vincent and husband Greg of Mayfield, Kentucky; one brother, Jerry Love and wife Dee of Buchanan, Tennessee; two step grandchildren, Jasmin Dunigan and husband Keaton of Calvert City, Kentucky and Jamii Vincent Raynor and husband Michael of Fort Campbell, Kentucky; as well as two step great-grandchildren, Neely Dunigan of Calvert City, Kentucky and Theo Raynor of Fort Campbell, Kentucky.
 
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 14, 2024, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services with burial following in the Murray Memorial Gardens. John Dale, Steven Hunter, and Garry Evans will officiate. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
