Mrs. Joyce (Spann) Hurt

Mrs. Joyce (Spann) Hurt, age 83, of Murray, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, June 22, 2026, at her home surrounded by her family.
          Mrs. Hurt was born in Mayfield, Kentucky on April 15, 1943, to the late Bennie Spann and Ladeen (Hubbs) Spann. She along with her late husband were the owners of Murray Supply Co. and was of the Baptist Faith.
          In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death her husband, Larry Hurt; as well as her brother, Robert Spann.
          Survivors include one son, Keith Houston and wife Amy of Murray, Kentucky; one daughter, Cindy Kinsey and husband Tony of Murray, Kentucky; one sister, Joann Coy of Murray, Kentucky; five grandchildren, Ryan Houston and wife Brittney, Taylor Houston and wife Chelsey, Shawn Kinsey and wife Laurel, Max Kinsey and wife Halye, and Emily Kinsey; as well as nine great-grandchildren, Lawson Houston, Kane Houston, Charlotte Houston, Kallie Houston, Cora Kinsey, Ledger Kinsey, Lochlan Kinsey, Sailor Kinsey, and Graham Kinsey.
          A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 26, 2026, at the Scotts Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Kerry Lambert officiating. There will be no public visitation held prior to the graveside service.
          Active pallbearers will be Ryan Houston, Taylor Houston, Shawn Kinsey, Max Kinsey, Jerry Spann, Jay Simmons, and Emily Kinsey. Honorary pallbearers will be Mick Spann, Tony Kinsey, Cindy Pittman, Belinda Hart, Pat Cossey, and Susan Brown.
