Mrs. Jane Marie (Young) Barnett

Mrs. Jane Marie (Young) Barnett, age 79, of Murray, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, October 19, 2026, at the University of Kentucky Albert B. Chandler Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky following a brief battle with cancer.
Mrs. Barnett was born in Murray, Kentucky on December 18, 1946, to the late Robert Young and Janie (Wilson) Young. Jane was a 1965 graduate of Murray High School and a 1969 graduate of Murray State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree. She retired as Assistant Vice President and Branch Manager of Regions Bank and was a member of the Eastwood Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Pat Barnett; two brothers, Robert T. Young and Bill Young; as well as one son-in-law, Craig Heithoff.
Survivors include two daughters, Stefani (Barnett) Billington and fiancé Joe Donato of Murray, Kentucky and Ami (Barnett) Heithoff of Georgetown, Kentucky; one brother, Burton R. Young and wife Cathy of Murray, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Aleah Jane Heithoff, Audrey Jolie Heithoff, Alex James Heithoff, and Trey Billington; two nieces, Charlsie Williams and Paige Sims; two nephews, Russell Young and Billy Harris; as well as special family members, Courtney Godbout, Houston Billington, Madeline Sims, Austin Young, Jojo Donato, Raylen Williams, and Ada Williams.
A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, October 22, 2026, at the Murray Memorial Gardens with Bro. Andy Harrell officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Thursday, October 22, 2026, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
