Mrs. Frances L. Cooper Rives

Mrs. Frances L. Cooper Rives, age 73, of Murray, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2024, at Spring Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Murray.
 
          Mrs. Rives was born on April 18, 1951, in Owensboro, Kentucky to the late Gilbert Cooper and Ora Lee (Greathouse) Cooper. She had a master’s degree from Murray State University, was a retried guard at the Kentucky State Penitentiary, and was of the Christian Faith.
 
          In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Lloyd Bush Rives; as well as one brother Jerald Cooper.
 
          Survivors include one brother, Sam Cooper and wife Pam of Lakeland, Tennessee; four nieces, Dr. Elisa Cooper of Cambridge, United Kingdom, Melanie Cooper Phillips and husband Cody of Senatobia, Mississippi, Kailar Cooper of Memphis, Tennessee, and Melissa Doughty and husband Robert; sister-in-law, Jennie Rea Cooper of Germantown, Tennessee; three great nieces, Chloe Melson of Corinth, Mississippi, Samantha Phillips of Senatobia, Mississippi, and Peyton Cooper-Brown of Memphis, Tennessee; three cousins, Dana Rae Hatter of Bowling Green, Kentucky, Lois Ann Clark of Trenton, Illinois, and Stan Clark of Trenton, Illinois; as well as three special friends, Mandi Sittig of Kirksey, Kentucky, Noah Sittig of Kirksey, Kentucky, Tara Garland of Jackson, Tennessee, Judy Outland, and Nathan Sittig.
 
          A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at the Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery in Hickory, Kentucky with Steven Hunter officiating. There will be no public visitation held prior to the graveside service.
