Mrs. Elizabeth Jane (Sims) Douglas

Mrs. Elizabeth Jane (Sims) Douglas, age 85, of Murray, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at the Passion and Purpose HomeCare Assisted Living for our SENIORS in Almo, Kentucky.
          Mrs. Douglas was born on November 6, 1940, in Graves County, Kentucky to the late A.V. Sims and Lovie (Hendon) Sims. She retired as a schoolteacher for the Calloway County School District having taught Home Economics, Reading, and Math throughout her career. She was a member of the Antioch Church of Christ.
          In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Greg Douglas who passed away in 2009.
          Survivors include her husband, Fred Douglas; they married on February 23, 1963, in Graves County, Kentucky; one son, Chris Douglas and wife Kelly of Sedalia, Kentucky; one sister, Maxine Easley of Mayfield, Kentucky; one brother, Van Sims and wife Phyllis of Paducah, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Kelsey Keeling and husband Luke, Andrew Douglas and wife Olivia, Kassey Douglas, and Callie Douglas; as well as three great grandchildren, River Keeling, Chapel Keeling, and Ella Keeling.
          A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Sunday, September 27, 2026, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services with John Dale and Charley Bazzell officiating. Burial will follow in the Farmington Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
