Mr. Robert Slone

Mr. Robert Slone, age 87, of Murray, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, January 20, 2024, at Mills Health and Rehab in Mayfield, Kentucky.
 
          Mr. Slone was born on January 29, 1936, in Topmost, Kentucky to the late Herbert Slone and Zella Craft Slone.
 
Mr. Slone was a retired Teacher and Coach with the Calloway County School system. He was an Airforce Veteran and was of the Methodist faith.
 
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Christine Currier Slone; as well as one sister, Glenna Fae Slone Hinkle.
 
Survivors include one daughter, Linda Short and husband Stuart of Murray, Kentucky; son, Gene Slone of Madisonville, Kentucky; sister, Anna Mae Slone Wynn and husband David of Austin, Texas; brother, Kurt Slone of Wayland, Kentucky; and a cousin, Cramer Slone of Bardwell, Kentucky.
         
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 29, 2024, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Rev. Jim Stahler will officiate, and entombment will follow in the Murray City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. till 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 29, 2024, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
