Mr. Karl D. Smith

         Mr. Karl D. Smith, age 66, of Murray, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at the Anna Mae Owen Residential Hospice House in Murray, Kentucky.
          Mr. Smith was born in Calvert City, Kentucky, on July 3, 1957, to the late Joel Smith and Trudy (Landers) Smith. Mr. Smith retired from Kenlake Foods after 33 years of service. He was a member of the Glendale Road Church of Christ; there he was a member of the Semper Fi Sunday School Class, served as a Benevolence Deacon, and was a long time Deacon of the Glendale Caring and Sharing Center.
          In addition to his parents, Mr. Smith was preceded in death by one brother, Greg Smith.
 
          Mr. Smith is survived by his wife, Debbie Smith of Murray, Kentucky, to whom he married on April 29, 1977, in Kirksey, Kentucky; one daughter, Shanna Smith of Murray, Kentucky; and by one brother, Kevin Smith and wife Tammy of Murray, Kentucky.
 
          A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at the Glendale Road Church of Christ in Murray, Kentucky. Steven Hunter, John Dale, and Kevin Smith will be officiating. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be the Semper Fi Sunday School Class and the Glendale Caring and Sharing Center volunteers. Visitation will be held prior to the memorial service on Saturday, October 7, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the Glendale Road Church of Christ.
