Mr. James Morgan Wilson

          Mr. James Morgan Wilson, age 83, of Murray, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, June 2, 2023, at Hickory Woods Senior Living Community in Murray, Kentucky.
 
          Mr. Wilson was born on September 26, 1939, in Calloway County, Kentucky to the late James Elvis Wilson and Susan Naoma (Marine) Wilson. He retired from General Tire, was a farmer, the former owner and operator K & N Roofing, and later worked as a custodian at the University Church of Christ, where he was a member as well.
 
          In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Vernon and Velon Wilson; as well one son-in-law, Marty Canter.
 
          Survivors include his wife, Norma Jean (Doores) Wilson of Murray, Kentucky, to whom he married on December 20, 1958; three daughters, Cheryl Kendall and husband Charlie of Mayfield, Kentucky, Cathy Canter of Mayfield, Kentucky, and Carol Darnell and husband Andrew of Mayfield, Kentucky; six grandchildren, Crystal Brooks McTimmons and husband Bill of Alabama, Trent Morgan Kendall of Mayfield, Kentucky, Jacob Canter of Mayfield, Kentucky, Nash Canter and wife Mykenzie of Mayfield, Kentucky, Shawn Darnell of Mayfield, Kentucky, and Ashely Darnell of Murray, Kentucky; as well as six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
 
          A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, June 5, 2023, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Charley Bazzell officiating. Burial will follow in the Murray Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Monday, June 5, 2023, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
