Mr. Jackie Wayne Jones

 Mr. Jackie Wayne Jones, age 77, of Murray, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at the Anna Mae Owen Residential Hospice House in Murray, Kentucky.
 
           Mr. Jones was born on November 08, 1947, in Paducah, Kentucky to the late Milton E. Jones and Inez Myers Jones. He was the owner and operator of Jones Iron and Metal, owner and operator of Iron Rose Publishing Co. in Nashville, Tennessee, member of the Henry County Gun Club, member of the Journey Church, and had a hobby of skydiving. In the mid 1990’s he was the Kentucky State Amateur Black and White Photographer winner for two years in row. After retirement from Jones Iron, he and Dorothy lived in Nashville for five years where Mr. Jones worked for the Gaylord Resort Hotel. Following his time at the Gaylord, he worked with Coal Tech and the Calvert City Barge Terminal for eight years.
 
          Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Swann Jones of Murray, Kentucky; one daughter, Jennifer Burton and husband Mike of Murray, Kentucky; one son, Jerry Wayne Jones of Murray, Kentucky; one stepson, Sterling Fry of Murray, Kentucky; one brother, Ronald E. Jones of Burnside, Kentucky; five grandchildren, Victoria Burton of Murray, Kentucky, Madeline Burton of Murray, Kentucky, Jacob Jones of Memphis, Tennessee, Elizabeth Jones of Murray, Kentucky, and Jerrid Jones and wife Kelsey of Memphis, Tennessee; one step-granddaughter, Rio Rattan-Fry of Toronto, Canada; as well as two great-grandchildren; Liam Jones of Memphis, Tennessee and Lillian Cain of Murray, Kentucky.
 
          There will be no public services or visitation held at this time.
