Mr. Charles Colson

Mr. Charles Russell Colson, age 77, of Murray, Kentucky, passed away, Monday, June 30, 2025, at the Murray-Calloway County Hospital in Murray, Kentucky.
          Mr. Colson was born on March 13, 1948, in Cadiz, Kentucky to the late Silburn Colson and Myrtle (Kilgore) Colson. Mr. Russell was a retired painter and farmer. He was a charter member of the Midway Grace Church.
          In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Stanley Colson, Otis Colson, Jimmy Colson, and Johnny Colson; as well as two nephews, Stanley Wade Colson and Gabriel Colson.
          Survivors include one step-son, John Adams of Florida; one step-grandson, Colie Wolfe of Sikeston, Missouri; three sisters, Anice Reed and husband Jay of Los Angelas, California, Patty Spencer and husband Daryl of Grand Rivers, Kentucky, and Patricia Dunlap of Hazel, Kentucky; two brothers, Ramie Colson of Cadiz, Kentucky and Silburn Colson and wife Shannon of Murray, Kentucky; as well as many nieces and nephews.
          A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 3, 2025, at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Land Between the Lakes, Kentucky with Pastor Darrell Young officiating. There will be no public visitation held prior to the graveside service.
