Mr. Billy Hester

Mr. Billy Hester, age 81, of the Kirksey Community in Calloway County, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at Mills Health and Rehab in Mayfield, Kentucky.
 
Mr. Hester was born in Calloway County, Kentucky, on November 9, 1942, to the late Sam and Clara May (Bell) Hester. Mr. Hester was a retired brick layer and was of the Church of Christ faith.
 
In addition to his parents, Mr. Hester was preceded in death by four brothers, Radford, Monroe, Paul, and Joe.
 
Mr. Hester is survived by two daughters, Peggy Bucy and husband Mike of Kirksey, Kentucky and Martha Reeder and husband Taft of Murray, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Tanya Jones of Coldwater, Kentucky, Mitchel Reeder and wife Megan of Lynn Grove, Kentucky, and Samantha Barratiere and husband Shane of Hazel, Kentucky;  five great grandchildren, Landen Bucy of New York, Faith Jones of Murray, Joey Leigh Reeder of Lynn Grove, Kentucky, and Ellie and Emma Barratiere both of Hazel, Kentucky; as well as his special nieces and nephews.
 
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, July 21, 2024, at 1:30 p.m. at the Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Kirksey, Kentucky. There will be no public visitation.
