LaDonna Kay Wheeler

LaDonna Kay Wheeler, age 70, of New Concord, Kentucky, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at the Murray-Calloway County Hospital following a brief illness.
 
Ladonna or “Donna” known by her friends was born on November 11, 1953, in Gary Indiana to the late William Jack Wheeler and Jean Gray Parrish Wheeler. After completing her education at Calumet High School in 1972, in Gary, Indiana, she moved with her family to New Concord, Kentucky where she raised her three children. She was a member of the Blood River Baptist Church.  Donna spent many years working at the Murray Walmart, where she made several   friends.  Donna was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. What Donna loved the most was having her family around her, she also enjoyed having cookouts, boat rides, fishing on Kentucky Lake, and time spent around a campfire making memories. Everyone who knew Donna, will miss her terribly.
 
In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Pounds; brothers, Sammy Wheeler and Robbin Wheeler; grandparents, Noel Parrish and Robie Canady Parrish; and a nephew, Tyler Wheeler.
 
Donna is survived by her children, Jason Vandenburgh (Kelly Ryan),  Rebecka Cloud  and John Cloud (Crystal Christel Nugiud); siblings, Pam Huffine, Jackie Hescher, David Wheeler; longtime friend, Bob Hoehn; grandchildren Kaylee (Mason) Welch, Zoe Watkins, Samantha Ditto (Cameron Ditto), Morgun Scott (Gregory Jackson), Shelby Scott, Taryn Brittain, Emma Vandenburgh, Aidalyn Cloud, Dusty Cloud; great grandchildren, Parker Gene Imus, Weston Lee Imus, Kaisyn Ray Imus, Triton Dale Ditto, Haizlee Jackson, Emmitt Jackson, and Madilynn Jenkins.
 
A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 16, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Bro. Sammy Cunningham will officiate, and burial will follow in the McCuiston Cemetery.  Visitation will be held prior to the funeral service on Friday, February 16, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
