Mrs. Joyce Faye Potts, age 91, of Madisonville, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, April 27, 2025, at Providence Pointe in Paducah, Kentucky.
            Joyce was born on January 16, 1934, in Bowling Green, Kentucky to the late William Alfred Wilson and Hallie Dee (Jones) Wilson. At age 21, she began her career as an Executive Secretary where she worked for Ford Motor Company in Louisville Kentucky.  While in Louisville, Joyce met the love of her life, Gene Potts.  Shortly after marrying on December 2, 1966, they relocated to Clay, Kentucky where they purchased and operated a grain elevator.  Eventually, they settled in Madisonville, Kentucky where Joyce lived for over 50 years.  While in Madisonville, she continued her career with Island Creek Coal Company and Trevor Clinic. Joyce was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ.
            In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Edward Potts; siblings, Pauline (Wilson) Posterero, Bernadine (Wilson) Sharer, Ova (Wilson) Cherry, Wilkerson Wilson, Robert Wilson, and Elizabeth (Wilson) Runner; as well as one son-in-law, Ricky Anglin.
            Joyce was devoted to her family which includes three daughters, Ella Reed Nasser and husband Phil of Midway, Utah, Jennifer Anglin of Murray, Kentucky, and Cindy Klenk and husband Darryl of York, Pennsylvania; one son, George Madison Potts and wife Erin of Highlands Ranch, Colorado; 10 grandchildren, Matthew Nasser, Allison Walton, Peter Nasser, Jessica Belvin, Sarah Ledford, Marian DeVries, Christopher Potts, Michael Potts, Adam Klenk, and Brian Klenk; as well as 19 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
            A graveside service will be held at 12:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at the Coldwater Church of Christ Cemetery with John Dale officiating. There will be no public visitation held before the graveside service.
