Deborah “Debbie” Anderson, LPN, age 69 of Puryear, TN passed away Sunday, March 16, 2025, at TriStar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, TN.

Debbie was born September 2, 1955, in Evansville, IN.  She was a 1973 graduate of Evansville North High School.  Debbie worked and raised her family in Murray, KY and Puryear, TN where she built a life filled with love.

Debbie was a devoted mother, grammy, and friend whose kindness and compassion touched everyone she met.  With a heart for caregiving, she dedicated her life to nursing, offering comfort and healing to so many.  She retired from Marshall County Hospital Home Health in 2022.   Her love extended beyond her profession—always putting others before herself, offering gentle words of encouragement, and sharing her warmth through loving embraces.

She found joy in the simple moments: watching nature from her front porch with coffee or sweet tea in hand, laughing with loved ones, and cherishing time with family. The water was her happy place, where she felt most peaceful and closer to God.  Her unwavering strength and faith carried her through life’s challenges.   Debbie was a faithful Christian, worshipping at Mason’s Chapel and Journey Church.  ‍

She is preceded in death by her parents, Alden “Andy” and Verdie Anderson, brother, Joseph Schnee, and beloved daughter, Jennifer Young.

Debbie’s legacy of love, kindness, and selflessness will continue to shine through her children, grandchildren, and all who were blessed to know her. She is survived by her daughter, Tiffany Pitman and son-in-law Adam Pitman; her grandchildren, Adeline and Alden Pitman‍; and her brother, Gary Anderson.  Debbie cherished being "Grammy" to Adeline and Alden, never missing a chance to cheer them on at their events. She was incredibly proud of them and loved them with all her heart.

Though our hearts ache in her absence, we find comfort knowing she is now at peace, watching over us with the same love she always gave so freely.

A celebration of Debbie’s life will be conducted at J. H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 23, 2025, until the time-of-service at 2:00 p.m. Bro. Matt Johnson will officiate.
