Betty Sue (Lyons) Dodd

          Mrs. Betty Sue (Lyons) Dodd, age 89, of Murray, Kentucky, passed away, Friday, July 26, 2024, at the Murray-Calloway County Hospital in Murray, Kentucky.
 
          Mrs. Dodd was born on January 26, 1935, in Murray, Kentucky to the late Ebe Lyons and Lucille (Walker) Lyons. She retired from Fisher-Price Mattel after 23 years and was a member of the Glendale Road Church of Christ and the Eastern Star. She was an avid drawer and painter.
 
          In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert M. Dodd; one daughter, Cathy Crutcher; as well as one son, Sammie Crutcher.
 
          Survivors include two sons, Joe Dodd and wife Dianne of Benton, Kentucky and Jerry Dodd of Murray, Kentucky; one daughter-in-law, Lisa Bordeaux of Murray, Kentucky; grandchildren, Samantha Whipple and husband Michael of Paxinos, Pennsylvania, Kayla Crutcher of Princeton, Kentucky, and Sarah Crutcher of Murray, Kentucky; as well as great grandchildren, Emily Dickerson of Princeton, Kentucky, Mila Burke of Princeton, Kentucky, and Memphis Whipple of Paxinos, Pennsylvania.
 
          A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services with John Dale and Steven Hunter officiating. Burial will follow in the Murray City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, 30, 2024, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
