Wayne was a member of the former Clay Street Christian Church and was formerly employed as a deckhand pilot at Ingram Barge.
Wayne had a knack for crafting jewelry, and it became a hobby. Although Wayne was a very private person, he enjoyed talking to people, especially family. He spoke with his brother, Quentin, every night before going to bed, and he absolutely loved his sister-in-law’s cooking. He would tell anyone that Diane was the best cook ever as he enjoyed every meal she prepared. Wayne was also a former owner of several business.
Wayne leaves both family and friends to mourn his passing. Among those are Two Brothers, Quentin K. (Diane) Bailey, Sr. and Eric Bailey, both of Paducah, KY; Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins; One Uncle, Danny (Willie Mae) Marshall of Cleveland, OH; a Special Great-Niece, Jada Bailey of Nashville, TN and One Brother-In-Law, Joseph Chapman of Clarksville, TN.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Phillip Bailey, Kenneth Bailey, and Ricky Bailey, and one sister, Denise Chapman.
Wayne’s quiet and reserved personality will be missed by the many lives he touched.
Funeral arrangements have been set for Thursday, August 8, 2024, 12:00 Noon, with Reverend Raynarldo Henderson and Reverend Bill Williamson officiating. Burial will follow in Maplelawn Park Cemetery.
Friends may also call on the family here on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
