PADUCAH | Jul. 23, 1958 | Aug. 27, 2024
Rose Marie Cleary transitioned into her Heavenly Home at the age of 66 years, 1 month and 6 days.  She closed her eyes and entered eternity on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at approximately 6:15 a.m. at Baptist Health of Paducah.  Rose, a Paducah born, entered this life on July 23, 1958, as the lovely daughter of the late Joe Robert Cleary and Rena Elizabeth Trice Cleary.

Rose was a member of Ninth Street Church of Christ.  She was a 1977 graduate of Paducah Tilghman High School where she excelled in basketball and track. Rose also attended Southwest Christian College in Terrell, TX where she was certified in business administration.  She then returned to Paducah in 1977 and   began working at the former Western Baptist Hospital for the next 21 years as both a cook and in child care.  She also was employed at Super Value as a receiving clerk.  In 1998, Rose decided to work side by side with her brother, J.W., owner and operator of the new formed A & J Liquors.

Rose was a loyal and devoted person to both family and friends.  She had a big “Heart of Gold” which led her to help everyone in need and of course, she never wanted any praise for the help she so selfishly gave to all.  Her love started at home where she was the greatest mom and grandmother anyone could ever wish for in life.  Rose was a born cook who tickled the palates of so many loved ones.  She was known for her corn puddings, chicken and dressing and sweet potato pies and would bake cakes and other desserts for consumption.  Rose was also quite fond of shopping and going to yard sales.

Rose leaves loved ones to join her in Heaven at their appointed time:  One Son, Xsavier (Alexandra) Cleary and One Daughter, LaRena ShaToyia (Quannie McKinney) Cleary, both of Paducah, KY; Ten Grandchildren, Raeven Haris of Jeffersonville, IN, Legend Burgess of Louisville, KY, Xsavier Cleary, Xsavion Cleary, Donyae Aydelott, Jadon Cleary, Xsavionna Rose Cleary, Tyann Aydelott-Cleary Johnnea Cherry and Xayla Cleary, all of Paducah, KY; One Bonus-Granddaughter, Jhournee Wilks of Paducah, KY; Her Siblings, Brenda (William) Payton of South Highland, IL, Linda Bell, William Cleary and J.W. (Ardenia) Cleary, all of Paducah, KY, Karen (Norman) Dorris of Fayetteville, NC and Betty Boyd of Hampton, GA; Several Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and Friends, including her Special Friends, Tina Cooper, Wanda Wilson, Mary White, Michel’le Henry and Edna Reeves; Her Lifetime Friend, Charles Carruthers of Paducah, KY.

Those who welcomed her at the Golden Gates along with her parents were her grandson, Xander English Cleary; three brothers, John Otis Cleary, Milton Van Cleary and Wayne Cleary; one sister, Melva Moffett; one special uncle, James Otis Trice.

Funeral services have been scheduled for Wednesday, September 11, 2024 11:00 a.m. at Ninth Street Church of Christ with Brother Mark Rowe officiating.  Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
