Patricia C. Robinson signed her name to the Final Chapter of Life at 11:16 a.m. at her residence in Paducah, KY, on Monday, September 25, 2023. Afterwards, she entered Heaven’s Gates at the age of 88 years and 27 days. Mrs. Robinson was born to loving parents, Charlie C. Smith and Leslie Shively Smith, on August 28, 1935, in Drakesboro, KY.
Mrs. Robinson was a talented and loving lady who was well-known both far and near. She was a steadfast and passionate member of Rosary Chapel Catholic Church where she was past member of the financial council, historian, member of the choir and the Christmas Tree Lights Committee. Mrs. Robinson, a devoted civic-minded individual, was a member of many other organizations locally, statewide and nationally where she held many offices and working positions. Notably, she was former owner and operator of Peggy & Pat’s Beauty Shop in Paducah and Pat’s Beauty Shop in Greenville, KY. Her enthusiastic commitment to the teaching of cosmetology gave her the opportunity to have inspired many who chose to go into the field of haircare and were fortunate to have had her as an instructor.
Mrs. Robinson was married in Holy Matrimony to the love of her life, Clifford Donald Robinson, Sr., on May 15, 1954, in Clarksville, Tennessee. To this union, two blessed children were born. Their vow of love was honored and carried through until Cliff was called to his Heavenly Home.
Mrs. Robinson was one who loved reading, working puzzles, and making fashionable jewelry. She was also very relaxed and adored taking care of her flowers. Mrs. Robinson, a great giver, was in her element working with the children’s home and made a great motivational speaker who was requested to speak on special occasions for many organizations.
She leaves to cherish her many fond memories: One Son, Clifford Donald Robinson, Jr. of Paducah, KY; One Daughter, Peggy Gray of West Paducah, KY; Two Grandsons, Jerry (Kayla) Gray of West Paducah, KY and William Robinson of Paducah, KY; One Granddaughter, Candace (Desmond) Lee of Salt Lake City, UT; Ten Great-Grandchildren; Two Step-Grandchildren, Monique (Clarence) Hubbard and Heather Williams, both of Paducah, KY; One Sister-In-Law, Jean Robinson of Columbus, OH; Four Step-Grandchildren; Other Family Members and a Wide Circle of Friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Donald Robinson, Sr.; her parents, Leslie and Charlie C. Smith; one son-in-law, Jerry Gray; one grandson, Donald Robinson III; one niece, Mary Ann Torian; one brother-in-law, Edward G. Robinson and two nephews, Carlos Jenkins and Wendell Robinson.
“What all good teachers have in common; however, is that they set high standards for their students and do not settle for anything less.” That was Mrs. Patricia C. Robinson.
Friends may call on the family at Rosary Chapel Catholic Church on Saturday, October 21, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
A Funeral Mass will be held for family and friends at 1:00 p.m.
