Maranda was a member of Harrison Street Missionary Baptist Church, a 2008 graduate of Paducah Tilghman High School where she was a member of the yearbook staff and had received an associate’s degree as a Certified Nursing Assistant and was certified in Child Care Development. Her certification led to her employment for over fourteen years with the Paducah Day Nursery where she was loved and respected by all and was considered a super dedicated worker on the job. Maranda was also a member of the professional daycare organization, NACY.
Maranda, a very loving and caring individual, enjoyed her family and friends. She loved her music, and most of all was a dedicated worker on her job.
Along with Her Parents, George E. Murray and Myrtlyn Ann Johnson Murray, Maranda leaves many of her family and friends to mourn her passing which include Two Sisters, Thomasena Nicole Johnson of Paducah, KY and Cara Merral of Temple, GA; Two Brothers, George E. Murray, Jr. of Temple, GA and Charles Dowell of Charleston, MO; Two God-Brothers, JaDerion Hopkins and Jozay-v-on Diaz, both of Paducah, KY; One Nephew, Tristan Dowell of Charleston, MO; One God-Nephew, Jozay-v-on Diaz, Jr. of Paducah, KY; One Niece, Armoni Tucker of Charleston, MO;Two True-Sister Twins, Carshara Prather of Paducah, KY and Glenda Davis of West Paducah, KY; Three Aunts, Denise Johnsonof Paducah, KY, Betty “Tez” Hines of Charleston, MO and Regina (Raymond) Biles of Bloomington, IL; Seven Uncles, Robert L. (Tiffany) Hines, Jr., Dan (Dana) Johnson, Jr., and Ray (Dee) Johnson, all of Paducah, KY, Thomas Henry Johnson of Honolulu, HI, John (Monica) Hines, Jr. of Charleston, MO, Michael Hines of Tulsa, OK and Indocin (Carla) Murray of Cape Girardeau, MO; Several Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and a Wide Variety of Friends.
Maranda was also preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Mary Alice Johson, Dan F. Johnson, her paternal grandparents, Robert L. Hines, Sr. and Jeanette Moore Hines, and her uncle Terry Johnson.
Maranda's funeral services have been scheduled for Saturday, July 20, 2024, 12:00 Noon, at Greater Lincoln Heights Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Alfred Anderson and Reverend Dr. James L. Hudson officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Friend may visit with the family on Saturday at the church from 11:00 AM until the funeral hour.
