Mary L. Gray, 71 years, 8 mos. and 11 days, at the time of her death, was born October 13, 1951, in Humboldt, Tennessee to the union of Bessie Marie Clark and William T. Coble. Minister Gray was raised by her paternal Grandmother, the late Minnie L. McGowan.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Tyree L. Gray and Donald E. Martin, Jr.; her father, William T. Coble; paternal grandparents, Minnie L. McGowan and Bill Coble; maternal grandparents, Sally Boykin and Albert Clark.

At an early age, Mary gave her life to Christ and later accepted her call to ministry under the pastorate of the late Dr. James Turner. Minister Gray served in the Women’s ministry, Helps Ministry, and as a former volunteer Chaplain of Western Baptist Hospital. To everyone she met, there were no strangers; she was loving, kind, giving and full of compassion, and open to serving and assisting in any capacity. She was a former employee of Union Carbide/Lockheed Martin, Sears & Roebuck, a retiree from Arkema Inc., former substitute teacher at Paducah Independent School District, past PTO president at Morgan Elementary School and a private in-home caregiver.
